The analysis of teaching content: ?The center topic of the unit is Geography of Canada.It has six parts:they are Warming–up、Pre–reading、Reading、Comprehending、Learning about language and Using language.This lesson is a reading passage about Canada.It is the third part of the unit.It presents much information about the center topic of the unit.so this lesson plays a very important part in the teaching of the unit.By studying the passage,students can improve their grammar and comprehensive ability.What’s more,this lesson is related to a beautiful foreign country,students must be interested in the topic.

4. The analysis of students: Most of the students in our school are from the countryside. Besides, their learning bases are very poor. It is a difficult job for them to learn English. They seldom have a good command of grammar, which is really a great challenge.
