这是一堂八年级上册的关于才艺秀节目的阅读课。根据本课主题和学生的实际情况我将本课时设计为一堂泛读课。让学生通过对文章内容的多次数多层次地阅读来了解才艺秀节目的相关知识和人们对于这种节目的不同看法以及各自的理由,最终引导学生针对此类节目树立正确的价值观。

由于是到新学校对新学生上课,所以首先要吸引住学生。于是在自我介绍上采用的看图猜教师姓名的方式起到了不错的效果。对于第一次见面的新学生有时改变下常用的自我介绍方式也是一种不错的教学创新。然后再新单词学习上,设计由中国达人秀中知名魔术师和歌手的视频,在情景中、语句中学习新单词,让学生更好地了解和记忆单词的含义以及用法。
