The topic of this unit is music and movies. It’s closely related to the Ss’ life. And the language goal of this class period is to express preferences by using relative clauses with that,who and which. According to the new curriculum standard of English, it’s an essential part of communicative English. And it aims to improve Ss’ listening and speaking skills.

Analysis of Students

The Ss of Grade 9 have great interests in English. The topic of this class is closely related to them, so they’re eager to learn how to express their preferences. Besides, they’ve learnt some relative clauses, so it’s not difficult for them to master the target language.
