教学思路

本节课的教学内容分成三部分,第一部分是复习上一节课的重点词汇和句型;第二部分是读懂用现在进行时、现在完成时、被动语态、情态动词和used to 写成的关于循环再利用的短文;第三部分是进行适当的语言积累。由于本课阅读短文中的重要语言点较多,所以要以清晰、明了、简单的节奏迅速完成第一部分,把重点放到对第二部分阅读短文的理解和第三部分对语言的掌握上。

教学准备

导入新课时所需要的歌曲录音、图片,阅读短文中有关语言点的幻灯片等。

教学过程

Step 1 Revision﹠Leading in.

Listen to a song Heal the World to lead into the topic.

Review the language points of last class.

(设计意图:温故知新。)

Step 2 Brainstorm.(2a)

Help the students to understand requests of 2a.

Ask and answer between the teacher and the students to finish 2a.

(设计意图:激发学生对阅读短文的相关知识背景的兴趣,便于对阅读短文的理解。)

Step 3 Reading —Rethink,Reuse,Recycle!(2b)

Help the students to understand the requests of 2b.

Read the passage for the first time and answer two questions.

Who is Amy Hayes?

How many people are mentioned in the passage? Who are they?

(设计意图:快速略读,整体感知,初步掌握文章大意。)

Step 4 Reading again.

Read the Paragraph 1,explain the language points and understand.

Read the Paragraph 2,explain the language points and answer three questions.

(1) Did she win an award? What was it from?

(2) Where did her windows and doors come from?

(3) What does the sentence “she lives in a house in the UK that she built herself out of rubbish” mean?

Read the Paragraph 3,explain the language points and answer three questions.

(1) Is Jessica Wong good at recycling? What does she do?

(2) Where does she sell her bags?

(3) What will she write in her book?
