Step 1: Revision

The teacher shows some words and phrases on PPT and students say the Chinese of

them.

设计意图:检查学生对学过单词和短语的复习和记忆情况。

Step 2: Lead in

T: From section A, we learned Keven’s unexpected experience. His alarm clock didn’t go

off, so he got up late. Without brushing teeth and washing face, he rushed out of the door.

But when he arrived at the bus stop, the school bus has already left. How about others’

unexpected experiences? Let’s learn together today.

设计意图:导入新课。

Step 3: Look at the learning aims

One student reads the learning aims.

设计意图:明确本节课的学习目标。

Step 4: Learn the new words and phrases

The teacher describe the meaning of the words and phrases and students guess the meaning of them. Then the teacher shows the meaning of the words and phrases. Next the teacher leads students to read the words and phrase together.

设计意图:拓展学生的单词量,为接下来的学习打好基础。

Step 5: Pick strawberries

The teacher shows a strawberry tree on PPT and in each strawberry, there is a word. Students put them into the right boxes.

设计意图:① 明确单词的词性;

② 拓展学生的单词量;

③ 完成书中1a的内容。

Step 6: Listening 1

Students listen to the tape and finish the exercises in 1c. Then the teacher asks which picture should be Dave’s, Nick’s and Joe’s unexpected experiences. And students give their answers.
