Step1.Warm up
Sharp eyes
教师快速展示学生学过的V-ing的单词或短语，学生尽快大声读出看到的单词或短语。通过这种方式来提高学生的紧张感，为上课做好准备，另一方面也复习了已学习的单词和短语的V-ing。
Do and say
这个活动是一名学生到前面做动作，其他学生说出所表达的动作的单词或短语的ing形式。本活动主要是在复习所学单词或短语的ing形式的同时活跃课堂气氛，提高学生对本课时的兴趣。
Step2.Presentation
1.Enjoy and follow a song : We wish you a Merry Christmas.由歌曲引出When is Christmas Day? What do we often see on Christmas? What do you do on Christmas Day? 让学生思考并回答交流。利用课件出示一些圣诞元素如圣诞树、圣诞卡片、圣诞老人等，出示一些圣诞活动如合家团聚、吃圣诞大餐、送礼物等。由此引出party,gift两个新词，教学party,gift两个新词。
2.出示Sally和Ann打电话的图片
①Ann is talking to Sally on the phone.What they are talking about? 引入话题，学生听第一图的录音，回答They are talking about a Christmas party．引发学生对晚会的兴趣。再看一遍第一图的动画视频，回答What is Sally doing? 教师要适时板书句子，引导学生找到正确答案并教读。
教师继续追问，②Can Ann see Sally? Can Ann see Sally making the cake?引导学生理解What are you doing?的语用环境，避免明知故问。
③ Sally is making a cake for the Christmas party . What about her father and mother? What are they doing for the party? 因第一图蕴含了第二图的线索，在第一图的观看基础上可以先让学生推测What’s Sally’s father doing?。看第二图视频动画，回答问题。2·1·c
④How about her mother? Read and answer回答What is her mother doing? 引出火鸡，并教学turkey一词。讲到I like turkey very much时向学生了解Do you like turkey? 然后讲解一下圣诞火鸡是圣诞晚餐中最传统的食物。
⑤Now let’s see what Sally has for the party? Sally has cake, Christmas tree, gifts and turkey for the Christmas party.进行小结同时引出 Is it a wonderful party? But what’s missing? 引出friends. So Sally invites Ann to the party.教师问What will Sally say to Ann？课件出现挖空的文本，第一句空白，保留第二句All right.学生推断Sally的话，看第四幅图的动画，进行check,并跟读练习，同时进行情感教育，The more we get together, the happier we’ll be.接着询问学生What will Ann do for the party? 这是开放性问题，引导学生发散思维，可以是Christmas card , Christmas gifts，Christmas music，Christmas toys等接下来进行对文本的夯实与输出，教师播放录音，让学生听录音跟读，教师注意正音，然后同桌对话，最后全班进行分角色扮演朗读。
Step3.Practice
1.Complete the dialogue。
教师出示挖空的对话文本和词块，学生将词块回填到对话中。给学生1-2分钟时间，让学生积极准备，然后找学生起来补全对话。出示答案，让学生朗读两遍， 加深记忆。
2.Look and say
创设情境Steven and Sally’s class is going to have a Christmas party. Who is busy for the party? 教师带领学生观察图片，识别图片人物的名字. What are they doing for the party?师生做第一幅图的例What is Mr. Brown doing？He is writing a Christmas card.然后让学生 Ask and answer in pairs.两人一组进行看图说话。
Production
Ask and answer，首先创设情境Our Friends Sally, Tony and Steven come back from school. What do they do for Christmas? 师生举例示范对话，然后学生 ask and answer in groups. 完成课本50页的活动。-j-y
