When is your birthday?

Whose birthday is in June? (Rui Yang)

Today we’ll design a birthday party for him/her. Then what can we do during the party?

4. Teaching procedures:

Step 1:Pre-listening:

Part 1: Guess new words

Part 2: Learn the phrases with the pictures.

play the piano, dance to disco, perform ballet, sing songs,

draw pictures, take photos, play the guitar, make a birthday card,

play games, perform magic tricks, perform Kungfu.

Activity 1: Read and follow

Activity 2: Stick the phrases on the blackboard. Show the pictures of the new phrases,Ss speak out the phrase rightly, then stick it on the right place. Read them out.

Activity 3: You act, I guess. Some volunteers act, others guess and write the phrases on the board. Some students check it.

Activity 4: Pair work(ppt)

Step 3:Post-listening:

Part 1: Imitate and retell

Follow the video to imitate and try to retell it like this.
