四、学情分析:
由于学生们已经学习了第五模块和第六模块第一单元的内容,而本单元的学习内容是在此基础上进行的,因此本单元的教学内容对学生来讲应该比较简单容易,学生们学起来也应该比较轻松,愉快。
五、教学重难点:
重点:掌握单词village和学会运用重点句子Was it a big city then? 及其答语:Yes, it was./ No, it wasn’t.
难点:在情境中能够熟练运用was或were的问句来进行询问过去事物或人物的特征和状态。
六、教学准备:
多媒体课件、单词卡片、图片。
七、教学过程:
(一)、Warming up.
1. Greetings.
2. Play a chant.
(二)、Revision.
Review “ am, is, are”过去式。
(三)、Leading in.
1. Point to the student who is strong and say “He/She is strong.” Then ask the other students “Was he/she strong then? Yes, he/she was. No, he/she wasn’t.” in order to lead in Part 1. (此时板书课题)
2. Play the video of Part 1 and then ask the students to read after it.
(四)、Presentation.
T: Do you like traveling? Where have you been to? I have been to Dalian.
Show the pictures of Dalian, one is in the past, one is in the present. Then introduce the differences between them.
Lingling has been to Shenzhen, let’s see how Lingling introduces the differences of Shenzhen between the past and presence.
1. Listen to the text for the first time.
2. Listen again and answer the question: Where is Lingling’s grandpa?
3. Show the pictures of Shenzhen in order to lead in the key sentence: “Was it a big city then? Yes, it was./ No, it wasn’t.” and the new word “village”, the phrases “a big city, a very small village”.
4. Read the text by themselves and have a role play.
(五)、Practice.
1. Finish Part 3. Watch the pictures and use the sentence on PPT to describe the pictures in groups, then act it out.
2. Use the sentence pattern: “Was it a/an…? Yes, it was./ No, it wasn’t.” to talk about six pictures.
3. Do the exercises on PPT.
