一、 Warming up

1.Sing English songs and do the actions.

二、Lead in

Show pictures of stamp ,teach the new word “stamp 、collect、

Hobby.”Today We’re going to learn Module3 Unit1 Collecting stamps is my hobby. Lead in the new lesson.

Presentation

Step1. Show pictures ,students ask and answer. “What’s your hobby ? ...is my hobby.设计意图:学生之间用英语互相提问、回答,练习重点句型的使用,并练习了口语,培养敢于开口用英语说话的勇气。

Step2. Teach the new word :hobby collect collecting etc.

Students read the new words one by one . Then practice reading the new words by playing a “Bomb Game.”

Step3. Watch a video and answer questions. 设疑自探

1. What’s Simon’s hobby ?

2.Has Simon got any stamps from China?

3.Is there a letter for Daming ?

设计意图:观看视频,回答问题,练习学生的听力,培养思考问题的能力。

Step4.Listen and repeat ,then students read the text by themselves and make a role play.

Step5. Work in groups four and discuss the questions.解疑合探

1. Has Simon got any stamps from Canada?

2.What have the stamps got on them?

3.Where is the letter from ?

设计意图:学生四人小组,探讨问题,使学生进一步深层次理解课文,同时培养学生的合作探究能力。

Step6.Practice the new words by playing a game ,guess which word is missing ?

设计意图:通过设计游戏进一步巩固学生对单词的掌握,同时增加课堂的趣味性。

Step7.质疑再探

Practice . Talk about these stamps with the new sentence structure. Students talk about in groups four ,then choose some of them to describe the stamps.

设计意图:运用所学句型描述邮票,达到学以致用的效果。
