Step = 2 \* ROMAN II . Presentation.

1. Look at the 4 pictures below, and try to get to get the main idea of writing.

2. Finish describing the pictures one by one and lead in the present continuous tense by asking and answering questions.

(1)The teacher asks : What are the workers doing now?

Answer: They are planting trees and flowers.

(2)The teacher asks: What are the two workers doing?

Answer: They are …

What is the other worker doing?

Answer: He is …

Describe the 4 pictures one by one by using the questions and putting the given words together .At the same time, the students can feel about the present continuous tense.

(3) Know and understand words such as dig, digging, hole, carry, carrying and container.

Step = 3 \* ROMAN III . Practice.

Learn the present continuous tense and the sentence patterns and the use of it.

1. The teacher tries to summarize: the present continuous tense is to show something that is happening now. We often use it with some adverbs or phrases such as now, at the moment, at this time and these days and so on.

2. The students know about the sentence patterns.

肯定句:主语+be (is\am\are) + 现在分词

否定句:主语+ be (is\am\are) + not + 现在分词

一般疑问句:be (is\am\are) + 主语 + 现在分词

特殊疑问句:特殊疑问词 + be (is\am\are) + 主语 + 现在分词

3.Ask and answer and try to grasp the sentence patterns by using some pictures.

Step = 4 \* ROMAN IV .Consolidation.

Grasp the rules of the present participle of the verbs and some irregular forms of them.

The students should read the forms about the rules of the present participle of verbs carefully, and then summarize them and remember them forever.

Finish the exercises on page 50.

Step = 5 \* ROMAN V .Summary.
