三、教学过程
Step1 before reading
Greeting
Talk about the cover, and lead to the topic of the story.
Step2 while reading
Watch the pictures and find out what pets are ill in the story。
设计意图：突出绘本的特点，让孩子学会从图片中读取信息。
Pupils guess “ What’s wrong with the pets?”according to the pictures。
设计意图：老师圈出图中重点，让学生学会观察细节，调配储备知识锻炼语言技能。
Listen to the story and check their guessing.At the same time, teacher teaches the new words: sore, paw, thorn, torn.
设计意图：让学生带着好奇心（刚才的猜测是否对呢？）进行第一次听故事，同时将文字、图片、练习相结合帮助学生理解故事。
（4）The pupils discuss how to help these ill pets.
设计意图：让学生联系生活经历，训练他们运用英语表达的能力。
