Step2 Lead in

T: I will share you a picture of my family. This is my little boy, my son. This is his birthday party.

Please guess, how old is he?

Present “How old...? I’m... .”.

Work in pairs, practice the sentences “How old...? I’m... .”.

T play the sound of car.

Ss: Car./ Toy car.

T show them the answer---a toy car, and teach “lovely”, then T says: This is a birthday gift which I bought it in Toy Museum!

Step3 Presentation and practice

2) Read the dialogue after the flash and pay attention to the tone!

Try to answer two questions: How old are they? What do they get?

3) Read the story for third times. Pay attention to the pronounciation. Teach “Thank you.” during reading. And tell Ss when someone gives us something, it is very polite to say “Thank you./ Thanks.”.

4) T shows Ss the second picture and ask them to sum up why Helen and Mike get different toys.
