教学过程
Part I: Warm up
Step 1: Show Sam and Bobby.
T: Look, who are they?
S: They are Sam and Bobby.
T: Yes. Today they go to a new farm. It’s Old MacDonald’s farm.
On his farm, there are many animals and fruits. What are they? Let’s go and see.
Step 2: Watch the video “Old MacDonald Had A Farm”.
【设计意图】Sam和Bobby是小朋友熟悉的人物,在第一课时中他们已经学习了Story time的内容,对农场有了一定的了解。在第二课时中,他们将参观Old MacDonald的农场,通过歌曲的形式唤醒记忆,复习已学的知识。
Part II: Fun time
Step 1: Show some animal pictures. (a cow, cows, a pig, pigs)
T: What’s this? S1: It’s a cow.
T: What are these? S2: They’re cows.
T: What’s that? S3: It’s a pig.
T: What are those? S4: They’re pigs.
Step 2: Chant
Read Chant 1 after the teacher.
Read Chant 1 with music.
Let the students read Chant 2 together.
Step 3: Show 3 baskets. Let the students guess the fruits.
Pay attention to the use of “a” and “an”.
Practise the sentence structures “What’s this/that?” “What are these/those?” again.
Step 4: Play chess
Explain the chess rules.
Invite two students to play with the teacher.
