出示课题“What’s the matter?”并朗读。
呈现Learning aims.
教学：单词hungry, thirsty, water 句型I’m…
Play a game: Say the same kind of words
（1）师出示sweater,引导学生说出同类单词，并让学生总结刚谈论单词为clothes.
（2）师出示Maths ,引导学生说出同类单词，并让学生总结谈论单词为subjects.
（3）师出示rice,引导学生说出同类单词，并让学生总结谈论单词为food.
然后设置一个场景，在电视里的生活频道上观看各种美食的图片，引导学生感受：看见美食的反应是“饿”，教学hungry(组读后贴板书)、I’m hungry.(加动作读)。
（4）同法由milk引出饮料的谈论，教学thirsty (两两读后贴板书)，全班拼写thirsty， 闭眼再次拼写，I’m thirsty.(加动作读)。
再次看饮料图片，T:These drinks are not good for us.引出Water is the best.教学water(两两读后贴板书),分男女生分别拼读water。
4. 教学ill
(1)T:Just now, we saw some food and drinks on Life Channel. Let’s change another channel.（图：遥控器）. （图音乐频道）Do you like singing?过渡到Music Channel , 这个频道上正放着“If you’re happy.”引导学生站起来一起唱，可以适当加些动作。
唱到尽兴时，电视机突然黑屏了， 引出句型“What’s the matter?”，引导全班一起提问。引出ill的教学(两两读后贴板书)，指名拼读ill. I’m ill.(加动作读)。
复习hungry, thirsty, ill
电视机坏了出现乱码，请学生帮忙看看是什么乱码，这个乱码设计的是一个chant:
Matter, matter, what’s the matter?
Hungry, hungry, I’m hungry.
Matter, matter, what’s the matter?
Thirsty, thirsty, I’m thirsty.
Matter, matter, what’s the matter?
Ill, ill, I’m ill.
配上音乐和动作再来一遍。
