T: Do you like this song? I hope you will have fun today. Class begins!

Free talk

T: I am your new teacher today. So what do you want to know about me? Ask me some questions.

Ss: What’s your hobby?/ What do you do on Sunday?/ How do you go to work? …

T: Let me answer. (Chant: I am Celia. I am young. I am a teacher. I live in Su zhou. I go to work on foot. I like eating cakes. I like getting together with friends.)

T: Got it? What do I like doing?

S: You like eating cakes and getting together with friends.

T: Yes, thank you. I like getting together with friends. (拿板书) Teach: get together. What does it mean?

S: 团聚。

T: yes. You know, Chinese people like getting together with their families and friends, and eating nice food at festivals. This is Chinese culture. Teach: festival (拿板书,听两遍录音)

T: and today let’s learn Unit 7

Ss: Chinese festivals. (贴板书)

Step2: Presentation

T: can you name some Chinese festivals for us?

Ss: Spring Festival, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, Double Ninth Festival.

T: Good. Here are four festivals.
