Step1 Warm up

1. T: Last lesson, we learnt an interesting country. What is it? (Ss: Australia.) What do you know about Australia?

2. Ss say something about Australia. (weather sports cities animals)

Step 2 Sound time

1.过渡：T: Australia is an interesting country. There are some interesting animals. There are some beautiful cities, like Melbournel and Sydney. Do you know something about Sydney? Here are some photos about Sydney. Do you want to have a look?

2. T: From these pictures, we know : Sydney is very beautiful, yes?

T: The view of Sydney is fair. The air of Sydney is fresh.

3. Read sound time.

4. Play a game: If the red monogram is pronounced ‘/ ??/’ ,please read it out. If it is not, please say ‘go’.（红色字母组合含有/ ?? /的发音请大声读出来；红色字母组合不含有/ ?? /的发音请说“go”）

5. Have a try. Can you read these new words?

Step 3 Culture time

1.T: Sydney is a beautiful city. In fact, every country has many scenic spots(景点). Let’s enjoy them.

2. T: Now look at these pictures again, where are they? Think and match.

3. Try to say: You’ll find ______ in _________.

4. T: Do you know more information about these places? How can we find more information about them?

T: We have many ways. We can…(look for books and magazines/ go to the library / read newspapers/ surf the Internet)

T: Which way will you choose? Why? (Because there’s more information on the Internet. )

Step 4 Cartoon time

1. T: Look, who is surfing the Internet?( Billy) What is he looking for on the Internet?(Let’s watch the cartoon.)Why is he surfing the Internet?

2. Read and find.

T: How will he find out about cooking? Can you find the key sentences?

3. T: Is Billy ready to be a cook? Which meal will he cook? What will he cook? Please look at the table, what can you see on the table?
