By the end of this section, students will be able to:
1. interpret the title of this travel journal;
2. recognize works created by Impressionists;
3. give an introduction to the Impressionists’ paintings;
4. appreciate the Impressionists’ paintings.

1. To understand the meaning of the title “First impressions”;
2. To introduce the Musée d’Orsay briefly;
3. To describe the features of the Impressionists and compare the differences of paintings by Monet and Renoir.
