(2)Teacher and students will sing the Fruit Song together.

Step2、Presentation。

(1)Learning new words

a. Teacher shows the Pepper Family to explain that Pepper Family will have a picnic, and they will take some things for the picnic. Teacher will show them and ask “What’s this?”(standing near the front) ,Students will answer “It’s a/an…(cucumber, eggplant, tomato, green pepper, carrot, )”

Then teacher will show another fruit pictures and ask “What’s that?” (Standing far away from the front), Students will answer “It’s a/an…(pineapple lemon apple pear mango orange)”Teacher will correct the usage of a and an.

b. Teacher will show the picture of watermelon, asking “What’s that?”,one students will say “It’s a watermelon” and lead the whole class to read the word, some groups will do individual drilling. Teacher will praise them with the word “very good” “great” “excellent” “wonderful”

By the same way, students will learn another word “kiwifruit”

c. Teacher will show the picture of orange, asking “What’s that?” (Standing far away from the front), Students will answer “It’s an orange.”Teacher will ask the whole class to spell it o-r-a-n-g-e .

By the same way, students will spell another word “banana”.

(2)Learning new sentences

a. Teacher will show the sentence cards and word pictures to check if the whole class can read the sentence pattern “What’s this?” “What’s that?”and the answer “It’s a/an…”

b. Teacher will explain the different meaning of the sentence “What’s this?” “What’s that?”(bodylanguage),and also the usage of the word “a” “an”(PPT), The whole class will read them together.
