Teaching steps
Step 1.
(1) Warm-up: Sing a song: “let’s take a trip”.
T: I love animals, Do you like animals ? Let’s take a trip . Let’s go to the zoo,ok? (屏幕呈现动物园图片并播放歌曲 Let’s take a trip. 学生起立边唱边跟老师做动作,带领学生到动物园去。)
(2) Revision : a.屏幕呈现动物园里的动物，如 pig, rabbit, mouse,monkey….教师利用What’s this in English ? It’s a /an …语句与学生复习交流。
b. 将monkey做的各种动作呈现给学生 如 swimming dancing eating drinking climbing ,同时巩固 The …is…句型为新课做铺垫。并将monkey小动物请到课堂来。
Step 2 Presentation
教师设置场景，教师拿出monkey带来的礼物盒子，让学生猜猜里面有什么，如果想知道学生必须说What’s that in English ?(板书)，每说一句，教师将礼物盒子打开偷偷给该学生看， 最后展示礼物盒里的内容seal 卡片，教师描述It’s a seal.(板书)。教学单词 seal. 大屏幕出现seal 游泳图片感知句型The seal is swimming.
chant ： seal seal seal the seal is swimming.
2. 大屏幕设置猜礼物，猜礼物之前学生必须先说What’s that in English ? 然后以听音的方式介绍 monkey 的另两个新朋友dolphin, hippo.学习新单词 dolphin， hippo。
3 .Chant： seal seal seal the seal is swimming。
dolphin dolphin dolphin the dolphin is dancing
hippo hippo hippo the hippo is drinking
4.游戏 考眼力
将 seal dolphin hippo 以图片的形式呈现在大屏幕上，让学生注意观察快速闪烁的图片，并说出图片的单词。
5.以游戏考眼力的形式呈现 tiger、cat、dog 以画面的形式呈现给学生，并让学生试着拼读单词，教师板书学习四会单词 。
6. 将所有小动物请到课堂来，教师手拿seal 图片问学生What’s this in English ? 再指远处的seal图片问学生What’s that in English ? 同样的方式问学生dolphin, hippo 让学生猜这两句话的意思？ 并说出区别。大屏幕显示this 这个指近，that 那个指远。
7. 以 one by one 的形式练习What’s this in English ? 与 What’s that in English ? 教师在前做动作，学生说并问。
8.试听配音， 学习对话
（1）教师呈现本课挂图，让学生听问题： What did you see in the zoo ?
（2）听音读课文
（3）分角色读课文
Step 3.Activity
1. 设置monkey 的party. 让学生自编对话
T: What’s that in English ?
S: It’s a …
T: Do you like …
S; Yes, I do/ No, I don’t.
T: Ok, Here you are.
