英语中一些多音节的形容词、副词, 其比较级形式是在该词前加more。除了多音节形容词、副词变比较级要用more之外, 部分双音节的词, 如careful, tiring, boring, slowly等比较级也是在词前加more。由此可见, 多音节形容词及部分双音节形容词、副词比较级的句式结构为：
A + 谓语+ more + 多音节形容词/部分双音节形容词/副词+ than + B。
