本课是Unit 8 Save Our World(Lesson46:Protect Our Environment);本课着重学习it的用法和should、shouldn’t的用法。课文通过来自加拿大的Katie介绍加拿大Edmonton的和环境状况,进而谈到了浪费纸、节约用水、和循环使用等,还谈到了汽车、工厂对环境的污染最大,并且提出了一些减少污染的合理化的建议,最后画龙点睛地进行了总结,如果我们每个人在生活中做一些小的改变,将会对我们的环境产生很大的影响,保护环境并不太难,我们只需要能力。通过对本课的学习,借鉴一些本课的好词好句,运用所学的词汇、句型,仿写一篇关于如何保护环境的短文。

a. Students are able to master the important words, phrases and sentences.

b. Students are able to master the usage of “it”、“should, shouldn’t”.

3.教学难点

a. Students are able to these words and phrases .

leak, tap, beer, truck, recycling, factory, unlike

take showers, again and again, put…in…, ride a/ one’s bike to…, make a change, make a difference, make sure, turn off, protect the environment,…

b. Students can understand these sentences:

1) We use them again and again, or we put other garbage in them.

2) I ride my bike to school every day.

3)Unlike other types of transportation , a bike doesn’t make any pollution.

4) In fact , if each of us makes a small change in our life , we can make a big difference to our environment.

5) I think everybody should take care of the environment.

6) It’s good for the environment.
