学情分析:

本课的教学对象是小学五年级的学生,已经掌握了一些英语基础知识,并且基本掌握了本单元主要的内容的学习和单元的初步整体感知,本课的故事内容不长,有一些词汇没有学过,但是可以联系上下文猜测词义,不影响学生理解故事。五年级大部分学生英语学习态度还比较积极,有一定的表现力,学生也具有了一定的知识储备,在语言输出上有了一定的灵活性,在表演上会有一些创意。

I. Class Opening

1. Greeting

T: Good morning! Boys and girls!

S: Good morning! Teacher!

T: Nice to see you.

S: Nice to see you, too.

2. T: Today I’m your tour guide. You can call me Lily. Welcome to Beijing. Welcome to our touring party. These days, we went to some famous places in Beijing. Such as Tian’anmen Square, the Palace Museum, the Great Wall, Wangfujing Street and so on. And we took many pictures. You can choose your favourite picture to say.

S: OK

T: What is your favourite picture?

S:…

T:Why do you like it?

S:Because…

II. Story

Step 1: Pre-reading

T: Look here! Can you guess what I am drawing? (以简笔画的形式在黑板上呈现)

S: The Great Wall.

T: The Great Wall is very long. So it has another name The Ten-thousand-Li Great Wall (one thousand, two thousand, three thousand…ten thousand. Wow! it is so long. )

(设计意图:提前解决文中的新授词汇,为读懂整篇故事构建支架。)

Step 2: While-reading

1. Listen and order

T: Today Mrs Li, Li Ming, Danny and Jenny are going to the Great Wall! What happens? Now Let’s listen. But first, I have 4 pictures for you. After listening, please order the pictures, OK?
