Stage One Warm-up and pre-reading

T: Today we’ll go on learning Section C. In the last lesson, we have talked about three famous people.Who are they? Did you rember?(复习并引入新课,出示名人图片,根据图片进行描述)

T: Whom do you admire most? Why? These points can help you.

T: I admire Lincoln most because of his hardworking, simple, modest and honest. So people call him “Honest Abe”,”The Great Liberator”,”Civilian President”

T: Why do people call him? We can find the answers from the text.(激发学生兴趣)

List the eight sentences.

T: Here aren the experiences about Lincoln. Can you put them in the correct order? Read 1a quickly and order them. (第一遍阅读Say the meanings of marked words and get the main idea.

Stage Two While-reading
