教学过程设计(教案)Step1 warming-up

1. Play a guessing game.

T: Boys and girls, before we begin our class, let’s play a game first. Please guess who he/she is according to some given information.

2. Ask students to recite the passages (about Millie and Simon )on Page8 after guessing who she/he is.

【设计意图:猜谜游戏的进行,在活跃气氛的同时也让学生复习所学内容,又自然过渡到所学课文;从背诵文章入手,熟悉的话语帮助学生迅速进入task学习的状态,也帮助学生初步了解人物介绍的简单要素。】

Step2 Presentation

1. T: At the end of the lesson yesterday, I asked you to prepare a short speech about the Ss at Sunshine Middle school. Remember that? If not, never mind. Let’s first look at the screen and review sth. about them….

Divide the class into six groups.

Let the Ss have group discussions

2. T: Do you want to know more about Daniel?

Ss: Yeah.

Ask the Ss to read the article , then ask and answer four questions.

1.) Who is he?

2.) Is he tall?

3) Where is he from?

4.) Is he good at Maths?

3. Read A on page16 again and complete a profile

School name:

He looks:

He likes:

He is good at:

4. Books open and read Daniel’s profile.

Let the Ss read the whole profile and retell Daniel’s profile in groups.

Group work. Then ask two or three students from different groups to say sth. about Daniel.

Step 3 Production

T: What do we learn from Daniel’s profile ? Do you know how to write a profile of oneself? Ss discuss first.

1. Complete one’s own profile.
