(analyzing an invitation letter)(1) Ask students to listen to the tape to answer 4 questions.

(2) Ask students to read the invitation letter and underline the answers in the invitation letter.

(3) Sum up for the invitation letter.(1) Listen to Suzy’s invitation letter and answer 4 questions.

(2) Read and underline the answers .

(giving the correct directions)(1) Help students revise some useful expressions of finding the way in English.

(2) Finish the blanks in Part B on Page 52 and read it together.

Writing1. Give Ss a context: Show Xiao Xue’s map and help Xiao Xue write an invitation letter to Laura.

2. Hand out worksheets and ask Students in groups of four. Two students write an invitation letter part, the rest two write how to give a way according to the map.
