Step 1 Lead-in

Today, we will learn Unit 4. I hope you can relax and enjoy this lesson.

1. Look at a short video about DIY. Help the students to get the information about DIY from the video.

for”) What’s DIY exactly? (Teach the new word “exactly”) It stands for “Do it yourself”. When you do DIY, you make, repair or decorate things. (Teach words “repair, decorate”)

2. Explain some names of common tools for DIY

Show some pictures of tools and teach the new words.

3. Look at the picture and match the words in the box with the tools
