Step 3 Presentation

What does Eddie give Hobo?

If they want to build the bed themselves,What should they do?

Can Eddie help Hobo build the bed?

Play the recording for the students to listen to and answer the questions.

Step 4 Practice

Get several pairs of students to act out the dialogue between hobo and Eddie as models.

Get some students to show their dialogue in front of the whole class.

Step 5 Exercise

Present these sentences on the blackboard.

Step 5 Learning and practicing

Get students to read through Part A on page 47, and help them understand the rules of forming the imperative sentences.

Do the exercise “How to make cards”:

Divide the whole class into several groups and give them a few minutes to read through the instructions and discuss how to complete the instructions.

Students from each group present their answers and check them together.

Students practice reading these instructions and learn to make cards.
