六、教学过程

Step 1 Free talk: Ask one student to give a daily report.

【思路点拨】 通过学生的日常报告,教师询问的方式导入本节课的教学,此环节训练了学生的英语口语和听力的能力。

Step 2 Presentation: Talk about pictures about the UK and learn new words.(England, queen, ruler ,pound , be made up of , European, dollar, Buckingham Palace, the British Museum ,the Lake District )

教师问Do you like travelling? 学生回答:Yes.教师接着说Today, I will show you around a European country,the UK. 展示英国的国旗问学生How much do you know about the UK?后接着展示一张欧洲地图的图片地图并问学生英国的位置Where is the UK? 教师找一名学生从地图上找出位置,找对后给予表扬。告诉学生The UK is also called the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. 并带读the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland

告诉学生It is in Europe. It is a European country. 并导入它的组成部分What is the UK made up

Of? It is made up of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.并补充说明It is an island country.

教师问.Who are the rulers of the country? 导入生词king and queen.并追问Where do they live?导入Buckingham Palace. If you go there ,you should remember people in the UK use pounds not RMB or dollars.并展示英镑的图片。 接着分别展示the British Museum 和the Lake District的图片分别进行描述然后问:

What can we see there?

What can we see on the lakes?

【思路点拨】 通过学生已经对地理知识的掌握,展示英国的国旗、欧洲地图、英国的地图以及课本上提到的英国景点图片,循序渐进的问答式导入本节课的生词教学,鼓励学生大胆回答并跟读。

Step 3 Introducing a country

The UK is a very beautiful country. Would you like to learn more about it? Read Amy’s chart on page 46 and answer questions:

【思路点拨】这个环节以表格的形式设置一些针对性的问题,目的是让学生初步了解英国的一些概况,然后将不同类型的信息进行分类得出文章的结构:

Para 1 Introduce the country.

Para 2 Main body.

Para 3 Tips.

Step 4 Analyze the text

1.Read Para 1and tell the students what Para 1 says and what we should pay attention to, then do “T” or “F”questions.

2.Look through Para 2 and pay attention to key words , then complete the sentences.

3. Read Para 3 and pay attention to transitions.

【思路点拨】这个环节的目的是让学生更加深入地去了解课文的内容,让他们体会每一段落具体写的是什么内容,是如何展开去描述一个国家的,给学生介绍一个国家的更多的信息,为下面的写作做准备。

Step 5 group work :If you want to introduce a country, what can you talk about? (How to introduce a country?)讨论后,让学生尽力去说,教师补充并总结谈论的内容:
