Reading and Vocabulary

整体设计思路、指导依据说明:通过欣赏有关吉林长白山天池的四幅图片引入这节课来谈论天池并学习新单词。在读前进行问答的模式,引导学生快速进入课堂学习的状态,开始思考学习的主题,激发学生联想与主题相关的信息,来开拓学生的思路。设置读前,完成习题,然后以小组抢答方式回答。读中,读后的阅读课教学方式,通过课文的表格填空与小组讨论的方式来考察学生对文章的理解;最后给出话题“speaking”培养学生写和说的能力,最后引出要实事求是眼见为实,激发学生对大自然未解之谜的好奇之心,有助于激发学生的求知欲。

教学背景分析

(1)教学内容分析:The material comes from Students' Book4 of Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press. The topic of this module isModule6 Unexplained Mysteries of the Nature World

Reading and Vocabulary . It gives students a chance to get some information about the lake of Tianchi. This lesson is about a reading passage, which plays a very important part in the English teaching of this module. By studying the reading passage, students can improve their reading ability and learn more about Tianchi. At the same time, the teacher should get the students to understand some difficult sentences to comprehend the passage better. Last but not least, the teacher should also enhance students' consciousness of loving the nature. And students can describe their sightings correctly.

(2)学生情况分析:The learners are senior two students. They have the basic abilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing, but most of them are still weak in basic grammar and words of Junior high school. Because the students have learned English for some years, they can understand some words and simple sentences. At the same time, they are curious, active and fond of competition and various activities, therefore, I will encourage them to speak bravely in class.

教学目标分析:

1. Knowledge objectives:

(1)Keywords: close,sceptical,frightening,support,leave,cover,distant ,attack,dive,sharp,calm,claim,unlikely.

(2)Key phrases:thousands of,jup out of be likely to die out.

(3)Sentence patterns:

If you can adapt to something,you can change in order to make the situation better.

When things disappear ,they no longer happen or exist.

2.Ability objectives:

(1)Students will be able to talk about the location , climate, general information of the monster of Tianchi..

(2)Students will be able to master some reading skills, especially skimming for general idea, scanning for detailed information.

(3)Students will be able to cooperate with other group members.

3.Emotional objectives:

(1)Students will be interested in learning English and improve their confidence.

(2)Developing students’ love of the nature, at the same time, enjoy the fun of interacting with friends during the process of group work.

教学重难点分析:

(1)Students can master the key words, phrases, sentence patterns.

(2)Improving students’ reading skills, such as, skimming and scanning.

(3)Students can describe their sightings in a correct way.
