Many students in this class know basic knowledge of English, and they are relatively active. However, there are still some of them are confused by English. In that case, this lesson focuses on the basic knowledge of the passive voice so that they can master it through continuous observation and practice.

2. About Content

The lesson focuses on the basic knowledge of the passive voice. It aims to let students master how to recognize the passive voice and the connection between the passive voice and different tenses.

3. Teaching Arrangement:One Class

4. Preparations before class:

(1)Prepare the knowledge and practice depending on the abilities of the students and the text.

(2)Prepare for the lesson carefully and design every part and every activity

well. Also, to stimulate the students’ interests, I will use the cooperation and competition mechanism.

(3) Use the teaching materials to design the courseware.

Text Analyzing:

Since there are many sentences that use passive voice in the main text, it is necessary to review the structure and let students master it. In this lesson, students are supposed to recognize the passive voice and the connection between the passive voice and different tenses through continuous observation and practice.

Teaching Method:

Observation、Task-based teachingTeaching AimsKnowledge and Ability:Master the basic use of the passive voice.

Study Ability:To let students master the passive voice through observation, practice, and cooperation and competition. Teaching Important Points and Difficulties Teaching Important Points:Master the basic use of the passive voice.

Teaching Difficulties:The students can write sentences in passive voice on their own.Teaching Procedure步骤1:Lead-in(3 min)

Use a song that contains the passive voice to lead in.

(1)Show the lyrics then tell them we’ll listen to a song and ask them to pay attention to the blanks to fill in them.

T: Class, today we are going to listen to a song. Please look at the screen first and then you are supposed to fill in the blanks after listening. Are you clear?

Ss: Yes.

(2)Play the song and ask the students to fill in the blanks together.

T: OK, have you gotten what you want? Please say your answers together

Ss: Would be wasted.

(3)Stress the sentence “But my time would be wasted”, and ask one student to translate it. Subsequently, the teacher should explain the definition of the passive to them.

T: Class, please look at the sentence. Can anyone translate it?
