为此,本节阅读课设置真实的语言环境,通过小组合作学习对文本阅读理解,去了解、体验、发现、探究和总结。首先让学生通过略读和寻读及相关背景知识的输入对维京人的探险历史、生活范围以及文章整体结构有所了解。接下来细读,了解三位维京人的探险经历,并通过多种学生活动让学生体验、探究和发现其探险的过程、意义及所需的精神。最后由教师指导,总结出文章的主题:探险家们的精神。同时也鼓励学生们在人生旅途的探索中学习探险家们的精神,走出属于自己的不平凡的道路。学生基本情况简介基本情况:学生为高一普通班的学生。班级学生人数为50人,是开学刚刚组成的班集体。具备一定的英语学习能力,但是基础薄弱,特别是在词汇的使用、语言表达以及写作能力方面。存在语言使用不规范,受中文干扰多的情况。这些问题,亟待解决。

认知特点:高一学生正处在身心发展的关键时期,自我意识逐步增强,对事物有自己的看法,但是还很不够成熟。要逐步培养学生积极向上的正确意识。

已有知识:个别学生听说过维京海盗也大致了解北欧的地理概念,但对绝大多数学生来说本文中所提到的东西都是全新的知识。教学目标After this class, the Ss would be able to:

Let Ss define the meaning of “explorer” and focus on today’s topic.

Ss define the word from their understanding and guessing.

4’Let Ss name some famous explorers they know and predict.

Speak out the names they know and guess who was the first one to arrive in America among the 3 explorers shown by the teacher.
