Teaching Producers:
Step 1. Warming Up (5mins)
Purpose: Ss will learn some visiting manners.
1. Ss will share their experiences in visiting during the Tomb Sweeping Festival.
2. Ss will watch a short video about visiting a friend and think of the question: What are the manners you should pay attention to when visiting someone?
Step 2. Reading (10mins)
Purpose: Ss will develop the ability of searching related information.
Ss will skim the passage quickly and answer the following questions:
Please sum up the suggestions mentioned in the test.
What sentence patterns does the author use to give the suggestions?
Two or three Ss will be encouraged to share their answers. Then T will show the sentences on the screen.
Step 3. Writing (30mins)
Purpose: Ss will learn the strategies of writing.
Ss will develop their ability in writing a letter of suggestion.
The requirements of writing in College Entrance Examination will be given to the students.(5mins)
The structure as well as the sentence patterns in writing a letter of suggestion will be given to SS, and SS will then be encouraged to design their own structure.(5mins)
SS will learn how to polish sentences.(5mins)
SS will write their letter of suggestion.(10mins)
One or two students will share their writing in front of the class.(5mins)
Step 4. Homework
(1) Ask your desk-mate to polish your writing and then copy it in your notebook.
(2) Review what we have learnt during this class.
