Ability aim:

①Cultivate students′ ability of listening for general idea and specific grammar information.

②Through different kinds of teaching activities, students can use “passive voice” to express themselves appropriately.

Emotional aim:

①After learning this class students will become interested in learning grammar.

②Stimulate student′awareness of participation, comprehensively applying knowledge and cooperation with each other.

II. Teaching key point and difficult point:

Key point: Learn the usage of the grammar item “passive voice”.

Difficult point: Use these grammar item correctly and fluently in daily communication.

III .Teaching procedures:

Step 1 warming-up:

Greeting and leading in—Review the passage.

Task 1. Listen to the tape and find out the sentences which express the passive voice.

Task 2.Ask students to fill the blanks together in each sentence.

Task 3. After filling the blanks, show the material on PPT and ask students to find out if there is any principle in this expression.

Task 4. Lead students to find the “passive voice” form that have been used in each sentence. Ask students if there is any principle in them, especially the form.

Step 2 Presentation

Task 1.Ask students two questions about“passive voice”.

What is the passive voice?

How do we use the passive voice in different tenses?

Task 2.Watch a video prepared by the teacher in advance, which tell students what is the passive voice? And there are some principles in them,how do students use the passive voice in different tenses?

Task 3. After watching the video, the teacher presents the principle of the“passive voice”on the PPT.

Ask students to recall the principles of the “passive voice”,then two students write them on the blackboard.

Step 3 Production (Role play)

Discussion: Make sentences from pictures in pairs (看图说话)
