After studying warm up, students have understood the structure of the human body. According to their common sense, it is easier to understand the content of this lesson .This lesson involves a certain number of new words, which will cause some obstacles to reading and understanding this article. Secondly, although students have certain reading comprehension ability, the ability to analyze and process these information needs to be improved in a limited time. They have difficulty in expressing their views on different aspects of the Olympic Games .
I Teaching aims:
1. To read about athletes, doping and gene-therapy.
2. To get the students to sum up the general idea of the text.
3. To practise using reading strategies(skimming,scanning,skipping)
when reading.
4. To lead the students to think about the meaning of Olympic spirit
and express their opinions about doping and gene-therapy.
