人教2003课标版《Learning about Language》教案优质课下载

This is the second teaching period of this unit. Students will think it boring. I try my best to make the class lively and interesting. I first offer chances for students to review what they learned during the first period.

I use a lot of pictures and offer examples containing plenty of expressions to guide them to the study of the part. The emphasis of this period will be placed on the important new words, expressions and sentence patterns in the parts Warming Up, Pre-reading, Reading and Comprehending. In order to make students understand these important points thoroughly, we can first get students to understand their meanings in the context, then give some explanations about them, later offer some practices to make students master their usages. Some new words and expressions, such as diet, balance, consult, limit, benefit, combine, ought to, get away with, before long and so on are very useful and important. Make the students get familiar with the names of some food and let them talk about how to make a dish, during which time they can learn a lot of words and expressions while explaining the steps of making a dish. Then at the same time ,what they talk about lead to The use of modal verbs, such as should ﹨ought to ﹨needn’t ﹨don’t have to and so on. The teacher must give some explanation about those modal verbs. At the end of the class, the teacher can make students do more exercises for consolidation. In doing so, they can learn, grasp and use these important language points well.

1. Enable students to grasp the usages of such important new words and expressions as diet, balance, consult, limit, benefit, combine, ought to, get away with, before long, etc.

2. Get students to master the use of some model verbs.

3. Let students talk about food and healthy eating, let them talk about how to make a dish and make them interested in the topic of the unit.
