Step 1 Look at the screen

1 Have a revision Ask students to read and offer Chinese meaning

2 Pick out what food is in Wang Peng’ s food menu and what food is in Yong Hui’ s food

Wang peng’ s food includes barbecued mutton, roast pork and so on

Yong Hui’ s food includes much fruit and vegetable

Step 2 Now students have known Wang Peng’ s food and Yong Hui’ s please look at the screen read the words and

then describe their food by the following words

Step 3 please offer the opposite words in meaning

Step 4 Learn about key words and phrases

Step 5 IN this unit we have learned about some modal verbs Here are some function words to explain the meaning of each modal verb

1 The function words contain the following meanings

A Possibility the fact that sth might exist or happen but not certain to

B guessing to try and give an answer or make a judgement about sth without being sure of all the facts

C intention what you intend or plan to do

D duty used to what is right

E ability being able to do
