2 学情分析
The students in my class are not good at writing a letter of giving advice. They don’t have a good command of the structure of a letter of advice and they often write some sentences in Chinese English or just write some low sentences.

Enable the students to learn the structure of a letter of advice.
Help the students grasp some useful sentence patterns.
Learn to write a letter of advice.
4 教学过程
活动1 【导入】 Lead-in
Show the students a short video
Present the students an audio.
活动2 【活动】 discussion
Present a sample of a letter of advice.
The students are required to discuss the structure of a letter of giving advice in groups.
Present two letters and ask the students to judge which one is preferred according to learnt above.
活动3 【讲授和活动】
1. Task1
Help the students learn some sentence patterns for Part1.
Show the students the requirements of two letters and get them to design the beginnings for the letters.
2. Task2
Help the students learn some sentence patterns for Part1.
Get the students to polish the sentences using the sentence patterns learnt above.
3. Task3
Make a choice about the sentence patterns for Part3.
