Type 1: Things that will not happen. E.g. If you were an artist, what kind of pictures would you paint?

Type 2: Things that did not happen. E.g. If Rob hadn’t injured himself, we would have won.

Type 3: Things that will not happen in the future. E.g. If it were to/should rain tomorrow, I would stay at home.

虚拟语气是选修六的语法教学难点。虽然在以前的学习材料中曾出现过if引导的虚拟语气,但当时只要求学生理解该句型结构的意义。而选修六的第一、二单元则要求学生掌握if引导的三种虚拟形式并运用该结构进行创造性或半创造性的活动虚拟语气这一部分的内容对于学生来说是一大难点。相对来说语法规则比较复杂,学生需要记忆的条条框框较多很难,这就需要把枯燥的语法设法与学生的生活联系起来。让学生学得有趣。这样学生在理解语气特征的基础上,自己总结语法规则,帮助学生记忆规则,再通过适当练习指导学生加以应用。最后巩固知识达到最终掌握知识的目的。

教学目标

III. 教学策略选择与设计

给学生提供各种生活化的情景,歌曲诗歌男孩女孩幽默故事等等。让学生了解并理解虚拟语气的实质,分清真实条件和非真实条件句的区别。再以丰富的例句帮助学生理解针对三种不同情况下的虚拟语气使用情况。在这一过程中,教师与学生有充分的互动,让学生在生动的实际操练中掌握这一语法现象。IV.教学重点及难点

1.if真实条件句和非真实条件句的区别。

2..针对三种不同时态的虚拟语气构成。

3.较为复杂情况下的虚拟语气使用情况。

4.如何应用所学规则分析句子,并采用恰当的虚拟形式。教学方法

Summarizing, comparative method; practicing activities

Teaching procedures:

Step1 Presentation

At first, give the students some photos to present what the subjunctive mood is and in what situation we should use the subjunctive mood. Then, show them the sentence structure of the subjunctive mood.

Ask Ss to listen to the following example:

Suppose I’m a basketball fan. Yao Ming is coming here to play a basketball game this evening. But unfortunately, I haven’t’ got a ticket for it. I feel sorry about that and what should I say in this situation? I will say: I wish I watched the basketball game. / If I had got a ticket, I would go to watch the basketball game. Have you ever heard such kind of sentences?

Ask students I am a teacher,a woman teacher,If I am a man ,I would play basketball with my boy students.But it is not the fact

Say If I were a man, I would be a better man

If I were a man, I would train my childrens to love homework .
