Step ⅠPresentation

At first, give the students the explanation for subjunctive mood. Then, show examples with pictures to present what subjunctive mood is and in what situations we should use the subjunctive mood. After that, let students summarize which sentences are facts and which ones are sentences including subjunctive mood. Finally, guide the students to show the sentence structures of the subjunctive mood.

T: The subjunctive mood is used to express something that is contrary to the fact, highly unlikely or doubtful. And The subjunctive mood is used when we want to express a wish, request, recommendation or report of a command. Now please look at the dialogue with a picture . Try to find which sentence is a fact and which one is a subjunctive mood. Besides, can you guess what are the sentence structures of the subjunctive mood according to the situation.
