Step 1 Revision

Ask students to answer the following questions without referring to the textbook.

1. Why was Tony sent to Claire?

2.What is the law for the robot Tony?

3.When Tony said Claire must feel unhappy to say she was not clever, how did Claire feel?

4. By the time Tony was to leave, what did he expect?

5. What would happen to Tony at last?

Suggested answers:

1. Her husband worked for a robot company and Tony was going to be tested out by her.

2.The robot wouldn't harm her or allow her to be harmed.

3.It was ridiculous to be offered sympathy by a robot.

4.By the tme, Tony expected the house to be completely transformed.

5. Tony would have to be rebuilt.

不定式由“to + do (动词原形)”构成, 其否定形式是“not to do”, 不定式可以带宾语或状语构成不定式短语, 在句子中作 ______, _____, _____, _____, _____, _____ 或 _________。不定式没有人称和数的变化, 但有 _____ 和 _____ 的变化。
