2. Get students to master the patterns “there be...” “It seems that...”and “so...that”.

教学难点

Let students learn the usage of the word distinguish and the sentence pattern “there be”.

Get students to translate some long sentences using what has just been learned.

三维目标

知识目标

Get students to know the Chinese meanings of the new words in this unit.

Get students to learn and grasp the important and useful new words and expressions in this part: distinguish,convenient,set about doing, now and then.

Let students learn the following important and useful sentence patterns: “there be...” “It seems that...”and “so...that”.

能力目标:

Get students to use some useful new words and expressions freely and correctly.

Enable students to make sentences after the useful sentence patterns.

情感目标

Stimulate students’ interest in learning English.

Develop students’ spirit of cooperation and teamwork.

教学过程

Step1. A game on the words in this unit

Students are divided into three groups. Play a game named “Wars between heroes”.

Step2. Studying key language points of the class

1. Students refer to their dictionary for the usages of distinguish, there be and seem within 2 minutes.

2. Studying important language points.

distinguish vi. & vt. 显示……的差别; 1) 使……有所不同,辨别

I can’t distinguish the twins;they are so alike.

我分辨不出双胞胎,他们长得太像了。
