Enjoy a video with students. Ask them do as the two young men in the video do in order to cheer them up.

Then ask them: Do you feel much better? Are you still sleepy now?

Step2. Review (2minutes)

Present the students with the following pictures about different weather, and let them tell me how the weather is now.

Step3. Game time (4 minutes)

Ask five students to come to the blackboard to play the game so as to remember the words about the weather above.

Step4. Grammar focus (6 minutes)

Let the students read the sentences in the first part on Page39 and let them pay attention to all the “be+doing”structures.Then ask them: Can you tell me what the structure is?

Teach the Present Continuous Tense

现在进行时,此刻正发生;

左右两只手,该出手时同出手;

be 和doing ,一定要牢记。Yeah!

Step5. Consolidation(3 minutes)

In order to know whether they master the grammar or not, get them finish some exercises and then check the answers together.
