Step 1. Revision and leading in

share a video with students to see how students in our school get to school.

Step 2. Practice

Now I need someone to be a reporter, and interview several classmates how do they get to school.

Step 3. Presentation

Ask , do you think it is difficult for you to get to school every day?

Share students’ answers and try to get the reasons:

Bad weather? Getting up early? The crowded bus? Quick breakfast?

Now , let’s enjoy another video, it will tell you how happily you are. You can also know how students in small village get to school in an unbelievable way.

After watching, ask the students if it is a terrible way to get to school.

Step 4. Discussion

Now, look at the picture and title below, guess what the passage is about.

Share students opinions.

Step 5. Reading 2b

In this activity , we’ll read a story about an eleven-year-old boy, Liangliang.

After your reading, I’d like you to answer the four questions in 2b.

You have about 4 or 5 minutes to finish this task.

While the students are reading, write down the following on the blackboard:

1. it’s easy to get to school

2. be afraid of

3. be like

4. come true

After reading, have several students share the answers with the whole class.

Then have students listen to the recording and find out the sentences and phrases on the blackboard.

Do explanation for the students.

Make sure students can understand them.

Step 6. Practice 2c

Read the passage again.

Complete the sentences with words from the passage.

Check the answers by asking someone to read the sentences.
