Step 1: Greetings! Welcome to our English class.

Step 2: Slogan: We need culture, like need air.

Step 3: Lead-in. Show some famous American cartoon characters and ask the students questions about their favorite cartoon characters and the reason why they like them. Then talk about Mickey Mouse, then watch a clip of video. Then talk about the Disneyland.

Step 4:

①Show the learning objectives.

②Fast-reading: Try to figure out the main idea of each paragraph.

③Careful-reading: Read para1. carefully and answer 4 questions. Read Para. 2 and retell it using import words and phrases with correct form. Read Para. 3 and be able to tell what happened to Mickey in 1978.

④underline the phrases in 2e in the passage and write their sentences using the phrases.

⑤Group work: do an interview using the sentences they have written.
