StepⅠ: Warming-up and Leading-in

Greetings.

Watching a video.

Students watch a video about 4 students’ dream jobs.

Free talk.

The teacher talks about jobs with students and asks students what they are going to be when they grow up and the ways they are going to do.

(设计意图:通过观看采访学生的视频及谈论梦想,导入本节课的主题。)

Show the dream jobs of Li Mei’s family members.

I’m Li Mei. I have a brother and two sisters. We all have our dream jobs. I am going to be a teacher when I grow up. So I am going to study education. My brother Mike is going to be a doctor. He is going to study medicine at a university. My sisters Jenny and Helen are going to study in London next year. Jenny is going to be a reporter. Because she likes writing articles. But Helen is not going to be a reporter. She is going to study singing. We are going to start when we finish college. These are our dreams. What about yours? Are you going to be a teacher?

(设计意图:通过让学生阅读李梅家人的梦想,让学生在语境中感知be going to结构的各种句式。)

StepⅡ: Discussion and conclusion

The teacher asks students to find out five sentences with “be going to”. Then put them up on blackboard and lets students to discuss.

I am going to be a teacher when I grow up.

Mike is going to be a doctor.

My sisters are going to study in London next year.

She is not going to be a reporter.

Are you going to be a teacher?

Ss look at sentences and try saying out the tense.

Ss try saying out the time adverbials of the Simple Future Tense as more as possible.

Ss sum up the structures of the Simple Future Tense with teacher’s help.

(设计意图:通过让学生找带有“be going to”结构的句子,感知下目标语言。接着把五句话粘贴黑板让学生观察句子并归纳总结语言现象。)
