III.学情分析

本单元的主题是发出邀请,接受和委婉地拒绝邀请,围绕这一话题进行一系列交际活动,是学生熟练掌握重点句型“Can you come to my party?”的运用以及学会有礼貌地接受和拒绝邀请。在此之前,学生已掌握can, have to 等的用法,所以,这些对学生来说并不难,比较容易掌握。

Employ task-based teaching mode, and get the students to learn basic sentence patterns by listening and practicing.

V. 教学过程

Step1 Lead-in

1. Play a game: there are four pieces of music.As soon as the teacher starts to play one of them, students pass the apple or chocolate one by one.When the music stops, the student who gets the apple has to open one envelope and then finishes the corresponding task in each envelope.

Round 1: Answer the question: What do you usually do on weekends? (Music: Baby)

Round 2: Sing the song ” We Wish You a Merry Christmas”. ( Music: We Wish You a Merry Christmas)

Round 3: Lucky box: The apple is yours now! ( Music: Apple round, Apply red)

Round 4: Answer the question: Do you want to have a Christmas party with your classmates? ( Music: Sugar)

2. T: Christmas is coming. We will have a Christmas party in our class. The group which performs best will be the host of the party and the owner of the chocolate! To be the winner for today, you have to finish three tasks: phrases and sentences, listening and oral practice.

[Purpose]: To stimulate students’ interests in this class and attract students' attention by playing the music.(利用酷狗音乐铃声制作软件将四首流行歌曲分别截取其中的一小段进行播放,运用PPT超链接功能将四个信封超链接到四个任务。)

Step2 Presentation

1. New phrases.

Lead in different verb phrases: prepare for an exam, help my parents, have the flu, meet my friend, go to the doctor,etc.

Play a guessing game:?The teacher shows several pictures on the screen, and ask students to say the phrases as quickly as they can.

[Purpose]: This activity provides a brain storm to arouse students’interests about learning new phrases.
