2. Moral objects:

Train them to make a reasonable arrangement of your life. Understand the true feelings between people, learn to cherish the friendship between friends, between teachers and students.

III、Teaching procedures:

i. Review, warming- up and lead-in

1. Get the students show the main words and phrases they’ve learned in last class.

2. Play a short vedio from Disney English Party Time. Help the students relax and greet the class, ”Are you happy today?”.

2. Show a picture of some people, having a party happily , and ask the students, “Are they happy?” The students may all answer, “Yes!” “What are they doing?” Some students may answer, “They are having a party.” The teacher says, “Yes, now we’ll learn Unit9 Can you come to my party? The second period Grammar Focus-3c.”

3. Show Studying aims for this class:

1)Learn the new words: invite, accept, refuse.

2)Master the target language:

Can you …?

Sure, I’d love to.

Sorry, I must/have to/might study for a math test.

3) Can for invitation.

4) Learn to talk about the invitation.

4. Check the students’ work before class. Let the students Show their answers to the exercises in The Guiding Book.

ii. Grammar Focus.

1. Have a game to finish this part: Teacher prepared seven pieces of paper. Each of five pieces has a short dialog from Grammar Focus. The other two pieces have nothing on them but only ordinal numbers.

2. Teacher puts all these pieces of paper in a small box, have group leaders take one piece of paper out of the box without looking. When each group get the paper with a short dialog, they should prepare and show it for the whole class. The groups get the paper with nothing should make their own dialogs.

3. When they prepare their dialogs, the teacher should walk around the classroom and help them if necessary.

Then get the students show the short dialogs in order according to Grammar Focus. At the same time, the teacher show them on the screen one by one. Have the students read after the teacher.

4. Help the class sum the expressions about making, accepting and refusing invitations
