Step 1 Revision

T: Do you still remember where Kangkang and his friends want to go?

Ss: They want to go to the zoo.

T: Yes, they want to go to the zoo and see some animals. Let’s have a revision. Can you name the animals in English?

(PPT上展示昨天所学动物的图片。当学生看到图片起立快速用英语说出动物的名称。)

Step2 Lead-in

T: Good job. All of you remember the words we learned yesterday. Today ,Let’s go on with UNIT 4 Having Fun. But today’s topic is quite different. Look! What’s this?

Ss:It’s a clock.

T: What is it used for?

S1: It can tell us the time.

T: Great. Today we will lean how to ask and answer questions about the time. First, Let’s watch a short video, and find an important question about the time.

( After watching…)

T: Can you find the question?

Ss: What time is it?

T: Yes, the question is “What time is it?” When we want to ask the time ,we can use this sentence. We can also say “What’s the time?”. Do you want to know how to answer the question? OK, let’s learn how to answer the question together.

Step 3 Learn how to ask and answer the questions about the time.

1. (教师手举一个时钟。)

T: What’s this?

Ss: “It’s a clock.”。

T: Yes, it’s a clock. (重复几遍。)

Ss: It is a clock. (学生跟读。)

T: What time is it?

(板书,教学新句型,并要求学生掌握。)
