四、教学过程

Step1 Warm-up

1、 Greetings.

T: Hello, boys and girls. I’m Miss Li. Let’s sing together. “Look at the rainbow.” “ Apple tree”.

(PPT: Show the words about the two songs)

2. Lead-in

T: Singing is my hobbies. Today let’s talk about hobbies.(出示课题)

(师领读三遍课题,生跟读)

T: What’s meaning of “hobbies” ?

Ss: 爱好。

Step2 Presentation

T: Great! Singing is my hobby. Do you like singing?(讲授singing)

The students listen and follow to read the word.

T: I like singing. I can sing.(出示单词sing) (Explain the word and let the students read.)

Show Ss some phrases: sing sing with me come and sing with me

(If the students can read them by themselves, I’ll give Ss flowers as awards.)

Teacher shows Ss a song: “ Sing, sing, I can sing. I can sing a little song.” Ss sing the song together.

2. Show Ss a short film about Rio Adventure. Present the words “ dance dancing”

Teach them the spelling and pronunciation of the words. Students read the words in different ways. (Give them flowers)

Fill the blanks. I can _________ . I like ___________.

3. Introduce the sentence structure : I like …(doing)

Complete the dialogue in pairs.

Present the new words “skate skating” by dialogues.

List some words with “ate” : date fate late gate skate

4. Say a chant. Clap and say:

Singing, singing, I like singing.

Dancing, dancing, I like dancing.

Skating, skating, I like skating.

5. Invite a student comes to the front. Let him/her do the action. Others guess the word “swim”. Introduce “ing” form “swimming”. Show them a phrase “ go swimming”.

6. Practice a dialogue
