Step 1 Warming up

Enjoy a song

Step 2 Pre-task preparations

Act and guess

The teacher does actions and the students will guess what animal they are. In this way, the teacher can lead in six words which are cow、pig、duck、horse、sheep.

Listen and answer

The teacher play the sounds of these animals and the students will answer “what can they hear?” In this way, the plural forms of these new words can be showed.

Quick response

The teacher show some pictures and ask students to respond quickly.

Act and guess

The teacher invites two students to come and do actions. Others will guess what animal he or she is performing.

Sing a chant

Listen,listen, what can you hear? Quack; quack; I can hear ducks.

[设计意图:Through the above ways, students will be more familiar with such new words and their plural forms.]

Step3 While-task procedures:

Watch and answer

The teacher ask students to watch the story and ask three questions:

Q1:Whose farm it is? Q2:Where are they? Q3: What can they hear?

After this ,students will have a general understanding of the dialogue.

Read and answer

The teacher ask students to read again and find out “ What are the rules on the farm?”

The teacher should write the key structures “Don’t litter.” and “Don’t throw stones” on the blackboard.

Listen and read

The teacher play the tape and ask students to read after the tape. If time is allowed, the teacher can play Mr Mas Donald to role-play with students.

Let's act

Students will have some minutes to role-play the dialogue with their partners.
